Chris, a Sales Associate, has been with West Business Services for three years supporting a major healthcare client.

When, and in what capacity did you begin with West Business Services? What position do you currently hold? What skills did you bring to your career at West Business Services that have served you well?
I started with West Business Services in 2005 as an associate who took on sales and marketing projects in support of a leading healthcare client. Now I am responsible for inside sales for this same client marketing Medical-OEM/KTP (Kits, Trays & Packs). Having come from a packaging background, my sales skills from a manufacturing standpoint have been extremely valuable.

Other than the pay and benefits, what have you gained during your time with West Business Services that you take into your life outside work?
By working with diverse groups of people I've become better at relating and adapting to different personalities. This has helped me establish and maintain positive relationships.

What would you tell someone who was thinking of beginning a career with West Business Services?
There are great opportunities - you'll work with some of the country's best corporations, you'll have the chance to advance within the company, and you'll be able to gain professional development and sales experience. Also, West Business Services employees are sales representatives – not telemarketers. There's a difference!

Is there one particular experience with West Business Services that you're especially proud of?
I am very proud of being one of the few West Business Services representatives ever to be invited to an exclusive client retreat. This was indeed a great honor and privilege.

West Business Services believes strongly in enabling employees to balance life and work. How has this approach affected you?
West Business Services has allowed me to adjust my work schedule to coach a high school lacrosse team in the spring. I truly appreciate this flexibility and support of my life outside of work.

How has working for a company that promotes training and professional development impacted you in your career?
The knowledge I have gained through sales and product training at WBS has been tremendous. There is no question that my professional development has had and will continue to have a positive impact throughout my career.
